Thankyou!!

Hey people!!

Just a really really quick blog to say a huge thankyou to everyone who came an celebrated my 18th with me this weekend... It was a really nice weekend, one I hope to remember for many years to come...

And for those who didn't come... (Sam)
We went out for dinner last night.
We came back to our place for coffee & birthday cake.
We watched two movies (Meet the Fockers & Pirates of the Carribean).
We went to bed (at about 3ish).
We went to Church this morning.
We went to the Botanic Gardens for a picnic lunch.
We played in the playground.
We went to the zoo (and the wombat was awake!!).
We went out to the uni.
Then people went home. (Some went before Church this morning too).

That was it in a nutshell. (Or 10 sentences.)

And I'm really rather tired. And cold.

I am thinking that I might go to bed.

Nighty night!!

I suppose I should write something worthwhile sometime soonly...

I haven't really said anything that is worth writing or reading for a while... So here goes...

Last Weekend:
Saturday: Went shopping. What else do I usually do on a Saturday?? I picked out my birthday present from Gran and Pa... Bought a new jumper... Ordered my birthday cake from The Cheesecake Shop...

Sunday: Went to Wagga Baps in the AM, went and did some more shopping afterwards, and then went to music practice and the service at UniChurch... It was good

So far this week: Work. Biblestudy on Monday night. Babysitting last night.

And yeah. What's planned for this afternoon? I am guessing that I really should follow up some RSVPs that haven't RSVPed.

Anyway...

(Was that worth reading??)

Hmmz...

I don't think I really have much to say really...

Nup.. Not much at all...

I don't really know why I clicked on the "create" button... But now that I have I had better say something...

New Word of the Week from Sam tomorrow!

There!

Said something!!

It's Monday Today...

It's Monday today (still... just...) and I am sure that most of the frequent readers of my blog (rather than those who just happen to stumble across it while gargling red fizzy drink [that was something we didn't try!!]) would know that each Monday brings about an instruction to take a look at Sam's Word of the Week blog (and the link is still over there if you want to put it into your favourites/bookmarks)... This word's week (or perhaps this week's word) is a good one!! Nice work for a sick Sam! (and some good instructions from yourself too!!) [Sam is sick for those who do not know.]

What has happened since Friday? Well CrossOver was really good... For Getaway (pronouced Jetaway) we took a look at Community Medical Stores in the Philippines, of which I have forgotten the name of, and of which we as a youth group are raising money to create one. We also played "Post box" which is a really fun wide game (we like wide games at CrossOver) which involved hiding and attempting to find various leaders (except us leaders shared the roles around during the game, and the youth did not know that we were going to do so, but it was all good)... The devotion was on Peter and John going to the Temple and finding a lame guy at the entrance to "Beautiful" (I am pressuming that that is a location) and Peter healing him through the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It was good. It was acted out by Bec P, Sam and Lawson. Then in the small groups, Bec P, Melissa G and I were singing the song that goes with the passage in Acts, and Philippa L saying that we had been to too many Sunday Schools because she does not know that song...

Saturday... I went shopping... Got Rosie and Andrew's engagement present (I can't tell you what it is yet... You are going to have to wait until after the engagement party) and got a few other things, but I can't remember what they are... Hang on! One of the things that I bought was straws that sing Happy Birthday... They are cool... I got Megan G and Ange B one each for their birthdays back in Feb/March.

On Saturday night I went to bed at 8 and watched some movies, then did some work on the CrossOver Getaway presentation for this week...

Sunday... Went to Wagga Baps in the AM (there was a Brigades parade as part of the service) and then to Mr Winkler's birthday BBQ... Then I came home at about 5, made some fudge, did something else that I can not remember what it was, and then went to UniChurch... Didn't leave there until 10.15, and somehow got home in less than 20 mins (please don't ask me how, cos I don't know, and I wasn't speeding!! Honest!!)

And then today... Work. Followed by cooking for Biblestudy, which was followed by Biblestudy. We had chocolate fudge and ANZAC biscuits and Kettle chips and red softdrink (that no-one thought to gargle) and lemon drink for supper. The study was on Prayer (Luke 11:1-13) and how we should pray, and who we are praying to. It was a good study...

And now, I am going to email this to Sam and go to bed!!

Nighty night!!

My feet are sore again...

Heya People!!

I haven't written for a few days... But then again, not alot has happened...

I went to spaghetti night at Charmain and T's place last night... We had chocolate brownies for dessert with ice-cream on them... But the brownies were made from a box... (I mean, not meaning to be rude, but... the secret Graham/Salisbury recipe is much better than any box on the market...).

Work has been alright... I felt like writing a resignation letter on Tuesday afternoon (or was it Wednesday??) but things have been better the last two days... Which is a good thing...

I have CrossOver on tonight - I have no idea what we are doing - I went to the Jazz Night instead of the meeting, but that's alright - I wasn't the only leader that went to the Jazz Night over the meeting - Luke is just as much in the dark as I am (maybe)... I know I have to do the Mission Spot (Getaway [pronouced Jetaway]) next week (must get onto that tomorrow or later tonight)...

I don't think I am doing much this weekend... Infact, I don't know that I am doing anything... I think I might have to clean my room - Actually, I KNOW that I have to clean my room...

My feet are really really sore... I don't think I should wear the shoes that I wore today again for a few days...

Um... I might be off...

How GREAT was Jazz Night?!?!?!

Hey Hey all people who read this!!

I am ready for work REALLY early, and so I thought I might blog (how nice of me, hey?!) [This keyboard is awful to type on.]

Jazz Night was fantastic!! I really enjoyed it, and the friend that I took along (he was dragged really) even bought the CD!! That's pretty cool! (I already have the CD, otherwise I would have gone prepared to buy the CD...)

Seeing that yesterday was Monday, and that I didn't blog yesterday, you'll just have to follow the link to Sam's WOTW blog today to find out the absolutely fantasmigorical outragiously awesome word of this week. I REALLY like this word!! (And it will be a whole lot easier to work into conversation than what cellophane, walrus and orchid were)...

Can someone please remind me (sometime in the future) NOT to let a group of people cut my hair?!

And you know of that double mix of Chocolate Fudge that I made last Wednesday night?! It is deminishing... Rather quickly too... But that's all good!! (I really have been saying that alot these past couple of days :S) Sharing fudge is good (otherwise I would make myself as sick as a dog eating it all, as would Mum [Dad hates the stuff, Mum and I both like it, but Mum prefers ANZAC biscuits... She'll just have to wait for a few more weeks!!])

And that's about all... I have to leave in about 10 minutes, so by the time I click "Publish Post" and then "Republish Entire Blog" and the copy and paste this in an e-mail to Sam, that will be time up!!

I didn't write yesterday either...

Hm...

Not a whole lot to say really... I didn't end up going to Downside... One day we will get there...

The sermon at Wagga Baps was really good this morning... It was on Matthew 15:21-28 and how we only need ONE crumb of God to satisfy ALL our needs...
Even a crumb is sufficent for all our needs

Wowser!! What a powerful God!! It is totally unfathomable that the tinest "piece" of God is more than sufficent - it is abundant - for all our needs in our lives... Mind blowing!!

Other than that, I don't have much more to say...

Rach's 18th this afternoon, followed by UniChurch... Jazz Night tomorrow night!!

I didn't write yesterday...

I didn't write yesterday (so I discovered this afternoon), which is a bit of a wonder, seeing that I was ringing people and saying up front that I was bored out of my brain. I rang Steve, and then Naomi, and then Anna (who got a call on her mobile from Steve while I was talking to her on her landline) and then Charmain... And while I was talking to the first few people, I was cutting up the fudge, and for the last few people I was eating some of the said fudge. (Don't worry, there is plenty left - you'll just have to come tomorrow night to get some!!)

Speaking of tomorrow night, I think I am still planning on going out to Downside. As far as I know I am going. Even if I have to go by myself (because people claim that they have too much work to do at the moment, but they are still able to think of a WotW for a few weeks time...). I have only a rough idea of when it starts (I think it is 8pm) and a reasonable idea of where it is (apparently it is adequately signposted, but it isn't anymore than about 10kms on the Coolamon rd) and I know how much it is ($3)... [This is my way of hinting to people that they should come... Not to mention the fact that there is going to be chocolate fudge there...]

Downtown was DEAD this afternoon, but then tonight there were quite a few tipsy people trying to cross the road without being rundown (no, I did not hit anyone!!) and then there was this one guy who was crossing at the lights, and he just stopped in the middle, and looked around for a good thirty seconds, and then started to move, and then stopped again... He did it about 4-5 times... I am kind of glad that I was in my car with windows up and radio on so he couldn't hear me laughing... It was rather odd to see... It was all because of the races that were on today (Wagga Gold Cup for those who somehow managed to escape it...). The bosses and their wives and a few of the guys from work went, but I didn't. Nor did the office manager. That meant that I didn't get the afternoon off like what I would have if she had gone to the races. Oh well. I had a short lunch, so I left 30 mins early anyway... That was after doing about half an hour of archiving (the most boring job.)

Currently listening to: my new CD!! I bought "We Are His People" (Emu Music) this afternoon from Christian Bookworld Wagga. It is currently playing track 10 (of 12) which is Beautiful Saviour (All My Days)... I like this song... We sing it at UniChurch... We sing quite a few songs off this CD at UniChurch... We Are His People, Worthy Of All Praise, In His Image, See Him Coming, My Heart Is Filled With Thankfulness, Kingdom Song (I think we sing that one anyway)... Anyway, this track is in 6 8 time (so I found out this afternoon when I printed off the sheet music off the enhanced CD)... I might just have to figure out the correct timing!!

Anyway... I think that might be enough... I would seriously like to be paid per word that I write/say rather than hours that I work...

I'm freezing!! I am thinking that I might head to bed reasonably early (it is currently 10.50) and so wake up reasonably early...

Nighty night!!

Its all down hill from here...

Only two more working days left this week!! Brilliant!! (I didn't really enjoy work today, but I don't know why...)

Um... I have a big rant to say, but I can't remember what it was now... Obviously important...

Anyway... I am heaps tired... My parents have gone out visiting people from Church, and I said to them before they left that it was highly likely that I would be asleep before they got home... And then I watched McLeod's Daughters and woke up a bit... And then I rang Sam, and he told me to watch Spicks and Speks (is that what it is called?? It is on the ABC on Wednesday nights at 8.30)...

And then I made a double batch of Chocolate Fudge.

And now I am talking to Geoff, and my parents just got home, and that's about all I have got to say really...

I need suggestions on what else to expand my recipe book to... I can cook ANZAC biscuits and Chocolate Fudge, and have the secret Graham family Chocolate Brownie recipe (works well too) but what else is good to cook and to eat??

My Jaw is Sore

Hey everyone who does read this (and those that don't get a choice because they did once choose to get every single blog post by email [feel sorry for them yet??])...

My jaw is sore. Our fridge at work is very effecient. I had some chocolate fudge (haha) in said fridge. I took some out sometime before I went to lunch (I had a really late lunch today - I had to cope with school zones when I was returning to work!!) and bit down on it, and heard my jaw go "crunch!" (you gotta say that out loud [and if your name is Sam, and you do actually follow the "say it out loud" directions, you also have to say it with lots and lots of enthusiasm and expression]). And even now (like, 5 hrs later) it still hurts to put my jaw together (like clench my teeth)...

It is a really good thing that I don't mind iced tea. I made myself a cup of caramel tea at about 10ish this morning, and then I had to go and do mail and banking, and by the time I had returned and located where I had left my cup of tea (it was on the bench behind the photocopier [just for future reference]) it had an ice layer on the surface. It was cold!! Cold tea with milk and one sugar really isn't as good as cold black tea with two sugars... But to compensate, I had already burnt my tongue on the first sip I had taken of the very same cup of caramel tea. (Haven't tried caramel tea? Like tea? Remind me next time you ask for/have a cup of tea in my presence, and I will share the beauties of caramel tea with you [if I have any with me])

Anyway... I am babysitting tonight for the LifeWorks course my Church (Wagga Baps) is running this school term. And I am babysitting next Tuesday night, but not the one after (at this stage anyway...)

Say hi to someone for me (anyone really...) and have a great day tomorrow! :)

Today.

How was your day? That's good/not good (delete as appropriate)...

Couple of things... Once again, it is Monday, so don't forget to check out Sam's Word of the Week, and leave a comment too!! And if you are a CSU Uni student, don't forget to get your copy of Hunguppa (whenever it comes out) for the WotW (saying specifically your getting Hunguppa for the WotW!!)

ALSO...

Today is Anna and Catriona's birthdays!! Happy 19ths!! (I don't know the link to Catriona's site, so click on the link over there ---->)...

Today went so fast... I started on a TAFE module that Corine (purposely) left behind (spreadsheets)... Oh. My. Goodness. Simplistic!!! What is meant to take around 3ish hours to do in the TAFE classroom took me less than 10 minutes sitting at one of my desks... (this was after I said I had nothing to do Sam)... Other than that, lots of filing, chasing up fuel cards *rolls eyes*, telephone answering, typing... Yeah... It was a good day, but my feet were freezing for most of it... (Saying that, I think someone must have turned off my heater under one of my desks when I was at lunch... I mustn't have missed it though, cos I only just realised...)

Anyway... I gotta go out to Biblestudy (and I have to e-mail this to Sam before I go so I don't forget...)

Sunday (It usually does follow Saturday you know...)

Today was a really good day... Went to Wagga Baps this morning... Sat with the younger girls in the youth group (Hi Naomi and Hannah!!)... Went shopping (bought Tim Tams and a new shirt), came home, had some lunch, decided I was cold, so I openned my curtains to let some sun in, and wrapped Anna and Catriona's presents... Wrote a few more 18th invites, leant against the window and closed the curtains around my back so I could talk to some people on msn and see what I was saying (it would have looked rather odd to anyone coming up the driveway/along the verandah... This red object surrounded by the white backs of curtains...). Then I played Solitare Showdown against either Granny Be or Grandpa EVK (or both) for 5 games (I won three) and then I had a shower, and cut up the chocolate fudge and went and picked up Natasha on my way to UniChurch... It turns out that the other person who was interviewed for the chemist job on Tuesday night wasn't up to their expectations, and they wanted me to work there, so now they are still looking for someone *insert feeling badness here* but that's alright... God showed me this job first...

To work tomorrow... I think I have already said everything that I could think of that I had to do... And then Biblestudy tomorrow night!! Um... yeah...

*These uni students leaving assignments to the last moment - I don't know!!* (Not talking to you here Sam)
