And I just photo-ed the fish, so here they are too...

TOP LEFT: Mickey (the orange one) and Blackie (the little one that can't really be seen).
TOP RIGHT: Aphrodite (the black one) and Mickey (the orange one)
BOTTOM LEFT: Those would be Chalk n Cheese. Chalk is the one in the front (the white and orange one) and Cheese would be behind Chalk (the orange one). These would be my fish. I have kept them alive for 27 days.
BOTTOM RIGHT: That would be Steve's fish bowl, with Micky swimming smack bang in the middle of it (Steve I think you have a photo-genic fish)... It is glass, and when it has water in it, it isn't light.

Oooohh!! I was able to catch all three of the visiting fish in ONE net when I was returning them to their bowl yesterday after cleaning it (quite a feat after watching Steve attempting to catch Blackie with a cup... Hahaha) AND I caught both of mine in the one net going to the smaller tank (I have a small plastic rectangular tank thing that I use to hold the fish when cleaning the bowls) AND going back - are my fish talented or what?!

Those photos that I said I would post...

That's Luke. He is one of the other youth leaders with CrossOver (Wagga Baps youth group). He has a piece of foam cup (which was carefully crafted to fit on the end of his nose) from supper at UniChurch last night. Jen told me that the photo needs to come out for CF End of Year Dinner later this year, even if it is dodgy quality... Thanks Luke for being a good sport!

That's the birthday cake(s) that I made Bec and Amy last Monday for their birthdays (funny that...) only that Amy wasn't there. Sorry about the photo quality - its my dodgy camera... You can't really tell, but it looked like a bunch of balloons complete with curling ribbon... And the candles spelt out "Happy Birthday".

You will so not believe what I am about to say...

The fish are still alive!! They have survived their first week! Only four more to go! (Or three, but yeah...). I had to move them into my bathroom (only child at home = own bathroom!) because they were keeping me awake at night with their bubble blowing, and the bathroom is starting to smell like yucky fish water, but I can't identify which bowl is the offender (probably mine because I last cleaned it Tuesday week ago) so both bowls are being cleaned tomorrow. AND that means that there will be photos here tomorrow sometime, just for Granny Be. Cos she asked for them!

Did you know that brownies, ice-cream and hot chocolate fudge sauce is incredibly rich?! That's what we had for supper tonight at CrossOver (I did the brownies and hot fudge sauce), and the youth (all 12 that were there [hehehe... easy night for us 4 leaders that turned up!]) seemed to be able to power it down (most of them anyway) and Emma, Kylie G and I were struggling because of the richness... Wowser. It was rich.

I realised just after I got to Jeff & Emma's place for CrossOver tonight that I have lost a diamond out of my ring!! I haven't even been wearing it for a month, and one of the five diamonds has fallen out!! And it was the biggest one at that!! I was rather upset. I am thinking that I am going to go down to Goldmark (where I got it from) tomorrow and see what can be done about it, cos the rocks shouldn't be falling out just yet!!

There was something else that I was going to blog, but I can't remember what it was. Isn't that good of me?! I seem to be doing that alot lately... It isn't good at all...

People - we need to leave comments at Sam's Word of the Week blog (even if you don't know Sam leave a comment - come on, make him feel loved!) The Word of the Week (WotW) just HAS to continue!! It has to! There is no other way that life as we know is going to continue! Won't you miss my Monday (or Tuesday or whatever day I happen to remember) posts reminding you that the link to Sam's WotW blog site is over there -------> and to check out this week's WotW?! And it isn't as if you have run out of words Mr SamLam, because you haven't used any of those ones I suggested last holidays - not even the one that you already had down in your list of reserves, or turducken (which I am not surprised about...) - and you said that atleast one of them would appear before June!!

Anyway people. Get over to Sam's WotW blog and post your comments (there is now five links in this post alone, and don't forget about the link that stays on this page all the time, and even if Sam does decide to stop the WotW [of which I will be very disappointed about] it will still stay there [over there --------------->]) and wait about for the photos of the fishtank.

Now to wait for this to appear in my inbox so I can email it to Sam.

:)

The fish are still alive!!

You proud of me??

I need to go and feed the fish in a second, otherwise they won't be alive for too much longer, and then Naomi will be very upset and not talk to me ever again!

I did child-minding this morning for one of the Ladies' Biblestudy groups... It was alright. We stuck cellophane onto pieces of butcher's paper that Kylie G and I had traced some of their hands onto. I bought my picture home. The kids also played with playdough. It was green playdough. Now I have green playdough underneath my fingernails.

Last night for Biblestudy we were celebrating Bec's birthday (we were going to celebrate Amy's too, but she wasn't there), so I cooked cupcakes yesterday afternoon. Then I iced them and arranged them on a cakeplate to look like a bunch of balloons, complete with curling ribbon. I even took a photo of it once I put the h-a-p-p-y b-i-r-t-h-d-a-y candles on it (individual letter candles - they are cool!!)... But because of the lighting it didn't turn out fantastically, but oh well. When I download it to my laptop I might upload it and put up here, just so I can tell Granny Be that there is more photos on my blog. For those that have already gone home and so missed out on cake last night, Jon & Lititia's birthdays are being celebrated the first week back. Have already got ideas forming as to that cake...

Um. I'm cold.

I don't think I have too much more to add really.

One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish... Five Fish!

I am pretty sure they made it through the night... Haven't checked yet... Hang on a tick...

Yep. I can still count. My two (Chalk & Cheese) plus the three visitors (Aphrodite, Mickey & Blackie) equals five fish.

I really think I might try and get a copy of the Dr. Seuss book (One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish) and read it. I am into fish at the moment. Scary hey!

Speaking of fish, I had some dodgy fish & chips the other night... They were very bad. [Note to self: don't return to that takeaway place for a while...]

Um. What else?

I had a job interview on Thursday morning, but I didn't get the position. I had another one on Thursday afternoon for Admin Temp through Sureway's Labour Hire... I should get some work through that, but who knows when!

Went to Sonlight at Wagga High on Wednesday lunch for the first time this past week. It was interesting. Going back this week, armed with a game. Thinking maybe Word Association seeing that I got the impression that they like to talk, and about non-associated topics. So that's Wednesdays.

Anyway. I don't think I have anything too interesting to add...

Footloose just came on!! I like this song... I can still see Sam dancing away as a result of Biblestudy a few weeks ago... And the rest of us just looking at him. Hi Sam!

Anyway. Going time.

Oh no!!!

Crumpet was not consumed... But I did find him lifeless on the bottom of the tank... He got the flush...

Don't know why he died... It might have been the water temp. Or the food. Or he could have been bullied by Chalk & Cheese (seeing that Crumpet was a Catfish and they are Fantails)...

Anyway...

Monday, June 13, 2005

What a sad sad day...

Crumpet is no longer.

I remembered that I had not fed my fish (Chalk, Cheese & Crumpet) when I was at Biblestudy tonight, and so when I got home, I fed them.

I could only see Chalk & Cheese - not Crumpet... So I turned the bowl around and around looking for him... I think he has been consumed...

Poor Crumpet.

Movies...

EDIT: Updating...

I got this from someone else's blog... I don't think I see enough movies...

1. Take the list and post it into your own blog (as opposed to someone else's blog, duh), marking movies you've seen with an X, and removing X's if you haven't seen an already marked one.
2. Add five more movies to the end of the list. The meme must be fed!
3. Count how many X's you have. If you've seen more than 70 movies, you are a "Movie Whore".

Photos from my 18th celebrations..

Nan took some photos while people were eating cake... Here is a few of the better ones...

(and sorry to the RSS people again... I can't get any image hosting site to work!!)

The cake(s) - How cool are those candles?!?! (Well I think they are pretty cool anyway...)

The Fast Food Crawl..

We had a Fast Food Crawl for our Biblestudy Social Event... It was rather fun... We had to come dressed as something that starts with one of our initials... I went dressed as a King (so Amy realised after about 20 minutes...)

Anyway... Sorry to all you RSS-people who are going to come up with so many new posts... This is the only one you will need to read...

And so the photos:

Naomi with the Hello Kitty "handbag" I got in my Macca's Happy Meal... I think Jon took it home...

Jon and Naomi at Hungry Jacks - our last stop on the crawl...

Steve... I'm not entirely sure what he was... Something about a surfer or something...

Sam... He came dressed as Steve...

Esther - dressed as a Scientist

Amy - Beach Barbie who got cold... (as you would in Wagga in June...)

Bec and Lititia - two of the three that actually admitted that they didn't play dress-ups

Megan - the other one who admitted that she didn't play dress-ups

And that's all!

I took some photos yesterday...

(And once I get an image hosting site to work, I will edit and post them...)

(Nup... I can't get either imageshack or photobucket or some-other-random-one-that-I-tried to work... I might try another day...)

EDIT: They are on my MSN Space...

I am so dead tired!!

Argh!!

Last night was the CrossOver "Finders Keepers" scavenger hunt... So if you were out and about in Wagga and you thought you were seeing things when people were running around in yellow raincoats, no, you really don't need to adjust your eye-sight: we were infact running (or doing the conga) about...

And today: UniChurch Day Out. It was really good. It was really cold. And I am absolutely DEAD TIRED!! I woke up at 4.45 this morning (I didn't mean to, honest!) and turned on my light at 5.15, and got out of bed at 6.06... Had to be out at the Uni for 8am, and only just made it... Then Jon, Jen, Steve and I headed off to Yarrangabilly Caves. We were late getting there, but we weren't the latest. It was a pretty relaxed day. I went through the self-guided cave, then went about 150m down the path towards the thermal pool, but then my knee was getting agrivated, and so Mim and I sat on a log... Went back up to the carpark for lunch, attempted to sleep, but I was too cold, so I went for a walk to a lookout that I thought was Bluff Lookout, but as it turns out, it wasn't, but that's okay, I still got to take a few photos... (Reminds me: must get images off the memory card for the camera).... Went back up to the carpark once again, and sat and talked and played cards. Then the others came back from where-ever-they-were, and we headed back to Wagga, but not before connecting with a kangaroo on the other side of Tumut (no damage [to either the car or the roo] but it was rather scary!) and having dinner at Tumut (KFC... probably not too good seeing the BibleStudy Social Event on Monday night [Fast Food Crawl] but it was very satisfying...) Got back to Wagga at about 8.15 tonight... I feel DEAD!! (Also don't have normal feeling in left knee - can only feel pain - not good...)

Anyway... Seeing that I am so dead, it is time for shower & bed (perhaps)

And anyone who had the opportunity to come to the UniChurch Day Out and said no because they "had too much work" - you missed out!!
